Chloe's First Accident
Mommy put some salve on my nose and now I feel much better!!
Everyone saw Chloe fall that was eating in the restaurant and one of the workers brought her a cow in hopes that it would "help".
After eating at Chick-fil-A today, Grammy and I were putting Chloe into the car. Grammy sat Chloe in the car and Mommy was going over to buckle her in the carseat. Before I could get over there, Chloe had fallen face-first onto the pavement. We were so scared, we all cried. Fortunately, Chloe was OK, other than a few bumps and bruises on her face.

This Time Last Year

This time last year, Stephen and I were both very tired parents. After Chloe was born, she became jaundice and they sent us home with a light therapy blanket. We never got to use the blanket, because, on the night of December 10th, Chloe became very sick. She was totally unresponsive and had not eaten all day. We were scared to death!! When we could not "wake her up", Stephen flew to the hospital with Chloe in tow and Mom and I followed in the car behind. When we got to the ER, the nurse told us that we were new parents just "overreacting". When we were about to leave, Stephen demanded that Chloe's doctor be contacted. Another doctor on call came to see Chloe in the ER and admitted her for severe dehydration caused by the jaundice and my milk not coming in. Chloe was in the hospital for 3 days where they hydrated her and she began taking formula. Thank you God for sending us the right doctor.

Young at Heart Trip
On Friday night, Chloe went on her first Young at Heart trip. The Young at Heart is a group of "over 60" individuals at our church who do things together at least once a month. Stephen typically drives the church bus for them whenever they go on trips. However, we have not gone on a trip yet with Chloe.
On Friday night we went to Barren River Lodge to eat and then we went to Beech Bend and downtown Bowling Green to see the Christmas lights. I did not realize that Chloe would like looking at the lights as much as she did, but she loved it!!
Chloe seems to have fun no matter what she is doing or who she is with... she is such a good child.

Milk.....It Does A Baby Good!!
We are getting ready to transition Chloe from her "liquid gold" to cow's milk. We gave it a trial run tonight. Doesn't look like she is going to have any problems!!
Chloe's First Thanksgiving!!
Chloe had a great first Thanksgiving. On Wednesday night, we headed to Elizabethtown and spent the night with Nanny. Chloe had a great time playing with all of her cousins on Thursday. On Thursday night, Chloe spent the night with Grammie and O'Pa in Russellville while Mommy and Daddy went "Black Friday" shopping with Lea and Shawn. After we went shopping we headed to Russellville where we spent the night with Grammie and O'Pa and came home on Saturday. What a busy weekend!! This picture of Chloe was taken as soon as we pulled out of the driveway at Nanny's house on Thursday.

The Windy City
Not too windy and cold, but lots of rain.... Last week, Chloe, Grammie and I went to Chicago to be with Daddy on his business trip. Most of the time we do not get to go because he goes overseas, but we thought we would try this "short trip". Chloe did great!! She was really good on the plane ride and she loved riding through the city in her stroller all bundled up. We went to a huge 9 story mall, the Shedd Aquarium, sightseeing at the stores downtown, and to the Navy Pier. And, of course ate lots of delicious foods. Chloe had lots of firsts on this trip... first airplane ride, first bite of fettuccine Alfredo, first bus ride (what an experience for all of us), first taste of cooler weather, first Thomas the train ride, and first dinners with a lot of engineers!!

Chloe loved watching the airplanes take off with Daddy. See her pointing to them.

Chloe loves to watch fish; she will say "sh" and point to them!! She really enjoyed the Shedd Aquarium.

Eating Chicago style pizza!! Yummy!!

Daddy's Home
Daddy got back from Germany on Saturday night around midnight. Thank goodness we gained an extra hour. He wanted to wake up Chloe when he got home as he had not seen her in about a week. Stephen brought Chloe a gift from Germany and it was so fun to watch her open it. The present was a German baby doll with a small cloth book...Chloe loved it!!

Chloe's First Halloween
Chloe spent her first Halloween in Russellville with Grammie and O'Pa as Stephen was in Germany all week. On Halloween, Grammie and I had fun decorating pumpkins and making some Halloween decorations while Chloe took her nap...you can see the finished products above. Grammie is so creative. Chloe was a pumpkin for Halloween and we just went to a few friends' houses in Russellville. Chloe did not know what to think at first, but she loved trick or treating by the end of the night!!

Trunk or Treat
On Sunday night after worship services, we had Trunk or Treat. The children dressed up in their costumes and went around to the different "trunks" that were decorated for Halloween. The kids had so much fun, and the weather was perfect. Chloe was a flower... her first Halloween!!! Afterwards, we had a potluck with lots of yummy soup, sandwhiches and dessert.
