Daddy's Home
Stephen came home from the hospital yesterday around noon. He rested for most of the day and seemed to feel better by last night. However, he was up most of the night in pain, especially when he goes to the restroom, because of the stint. He did pass some stones today, so we are hoping that he will begin to feel much better soon. Please continue to pray for him.

Daddy's in the Hospital
Stephen went in on Monday for his colonoscopy. He finished the colon cleanse and the "starving" process. However, before they could perform the procedure, he began having kidney stone pain. They gave him some Demerol for the pain and then put him to sleep for the colonoscopy. He had a hard time waking up because of all the medicine. To make a long story short, we waited until about 10:00pm until they finally admitted him to a room. We basically refused to go home!! He had surgery again today where they did more laser surgery to break up the stones and then put in a stint, which will have to be removed next week. He is still in a lot of pain and passing a lot of blood. He has a Demerol pump, which he controls himself, which helps some. The doctor will see him first thing in the morning and hopefully we will go home tomorrow.
Chloe is staying with Grammie and O'Pa, I don't know what we would do without Grammie! She has really helped us out this week. Continue to pray for Stephen's speedy recovery.

Chloe at her Sitter's House
Surprise Party for Grammie

On Saturday, we had a surprise 60th birthday for Grammie at the Catfish House. Mom had been wanting Shirley and Bill to come down every weekend, so we got a plan together for the whole family to surprise her. I think she was very surprised!! It was really good to finally meet Mia and Emma.
After the party, we headed to Tim and Heather's for the monthly game night. We played Family Feud and a Harry Potty game, and, of course, we ate again!! Continue to pray for Stephen as he will have another test tomorrow. He is unable to eat anything today and has begun the "cleansing process".

On Saturday morning, when Stephen went in to get Chloe, this is how he found her.

Daddy's Surgery
Today was a very busy day! We woke up early this morning and headed to the hospital for Daddy's surgery. He has three very LARGE kidney stones and they were attempting to break them up with shock waves. The doctor came out after the procedure and said that he is not sure if he was able to break up the biggest stone, which is about 3/4 inch! Stephen will go back to his doctor in 3 weeks to see if the stone is still there. If it is, the doctor said we will go to "Step 2", but he has not told us what this will involve. Hopefully, this will do the trick. Stephen is doing better than expected. He throat is bothering him where they put the breathing tube, but other than that, he is feeling fine.

Father's Day
Chloe and Daddy went to a Father-Daughter banquet hosted by the church on Saturday night. Stephen said that Chloe did really well. He is such a proud father! This picture was taken right before they left.
We had a nice Father's Day. Grammie and O'Pa came to our house after church. Mommy fixed roast, mashed potatoes, rolls, peas and corn and Grammie brought a pound cake. We bought O'Pa a new robe and gave Da-da a picture frame that had "World's Best Da-da" engraved on it. Chloe slept during lunch and then we woke her so she could help them open the gifts. She really tried to help them open the gifts as she would pull off the paper; she especially liked the bows.

Our trip to Galtlinburg
Nanny really enjoyed getting to spend some quality time with Chloe on vaction!
Chloe and Mommy at the Apple Barn where they had delicious apple donuts!!
We had a great trip to Gatlinburg. We got packed on Friday night and decided to head out. We got to Gatlinburg around 12:30 am. Chloe did great in the car and she slept most of the way. She really enjoyed watching her Baby Einstein videos on her DVD player. It was so hot that mostly all we could do was swim or go shopping. It was too hot to have Chloe outside very much. However, Mommy and Chloe found some great deals shopping at the Tanger Outlet Mall!! Nanny spent the week with us at the condo. She enjoyed shopping, watching TVLand, and playing with Chloe. It was a very relaxing, well-needed vacation. We got home last night and Mommy went to bed at 8:30. Stephen kept Chloe today and they went to Target and Wal-Wart while Mommy worked. He is such a good Daddy!! After I got off work, Stephen had to go to his GI doctor about some intestinal "issues". They have scheduled his colonoscopy for June 23rd. He did not seem too concerned and said that it may be related to Stephen's bike riding. He did not think it was anything serious. Continue to pray that all is well.

Hot Days in June
We are tyring to stay cool this week. The temperatures are in the 90s! It is really hot outside. Chloe gets wet in her car seat because of the heat in the car. On Monday, Chloe cried all day. I'm sure if she is teething or what. She is really gnawing on her fists and toys. Yesterday, Chloe went to play with Kylah and Dastin at Kim's house while Mommy worked. It was a long day because Mommy worked more hours than usual. Today Chloe played with Kylah for a short while as Mommy had to make one home visit. We are really busy this week getting ready for Gatlinburg. We are really looking forward to our trip, but are somewhat worried about the car ride as Chloe is not a good rider. Stephen is wanting to leave early in the morning so we can make it there before she wakes up. I am not sure what we will do yet. Tonight we are grilling out steaks before we head to church. Grammie will be coming up on Friday to keep Chloe as Mommy will be working her first day as a teacher at WKU. I will be teaching a group of toddlers in the morning and preschoolers in the afternoon for six weeks during the summer. I am really looking forward to this opportunity.
Last week, Chloe starting babbling and saying da-da-da-da. Stephen was really excited, he got to hear her say this for the first time over the phone while he was in Sweden. Chloe is also very interested in holding and reaching for everything. She really likes to touch people's faces and she will grab almost anything and put it in her mouth (of course). She does not like to be left alone. She want to be in constant sight and Stephen or I, which makes housework and other chores very difficult sometime :)

Another Big Saturday
On Saturday, Mommy, Daddy and Chloe went to eat breakfast with Tim and Heather at Shoney's. We had the breakfast bar and it was delicious. Afterwards, we went to the mall and spent too much money!! Daddy bought two new pairs of glasses, one of them was sunglasses. However, Mommy did not complain too much because she has been wanting him to get new glasses since before they got married. He has had the same pair of glasses since the 1990s!! We also bought a grill because our was getting very old and Daddy sold it at our yardsale for $5. We will pick it up on Tuesday as it will be assembled.
Last night we went to visit Chloe's new friend, Elizabeth. She is almost three weeks old. Chloe did not know what to think of her. Elizabeth and Chloe will be in the same class at school and we hope they will be close friends. Lea and Shawn seem to be doing well with the adjustment.
