Snow Day!!

Today is our first real "snow day". We took Chloe out this afternoon. As you can see by her expression, she did not care much for the snow.... or perhaps it was because it was 25 degrees outside :)

Signing Time

Stephen and I have been teaching Chloe sign language for the past several months. She is catching on very quickly and it is a great way for her to communicate with us. Her favorite sign is banana and she uses this sign about 50+ times a day!!

Saturday Night

Elizabeth was not too sure of Stephen at first. She would cry every time she would look at him. However, by the end of the night, she had warmed up and Stephen was able to hold her and read a book!!

On Saturday night, we went to Lea and Shawn's house to eat dinner and let the girls play for a while. Chloe and Elizabeth had not played together for a long time!!

A Week I'll Never Forget

I am sorry for not "blogging" much lately. For the past week, I have been in bed with the flu. This is not the generic type flu like everyone likes to refer to it. But it is the bed-ridden, 103 degree fever, aching so bad you think your limbs will fall off, FLU. No, I did not have a flu shot this year, but this illness has forever changed my opinion on getting the vaccine!! If you are reading this and have not been vaccinated, you may want to reconsider.

Fortunately, Chloe and Grammy had both had a flu shot. For the first two days, Chloe was hanging all over me with her hands in my mouth and poking my eyes (I did not know I had the flu at this time). After a visit to Dr. Crews, and testing positive, he recommended that Chloe go to Grammy and O'Pa's for several days. She has been there since Friday. I miss her so much!!

I am however counting my blessings that I have such a wonderful family that has taken care of my daughter and I. Please keep us in your prayers!!
