Tonight, after Stephen handed Chloe a plate of chicken, he heard her praying....

Non-eventful Week
In the first picture, Chloe is helping me dust. She is really into helping me around the house. The others are just a few cute pictures from this week.... enjoy!!

This has been a rather quiet week, not near as exciting and tiring as last week :) Stephen had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday and his doctor is still concerned about his eye as it continues to leak a little fluid. He told him to take it very easy this week and get lots of rest. He will have another appointment on Saturday, so hopefully we will know more after this visit.
Stephen and I had our date night last night. We went to O'Charley's for dinner and then ran some errands. Thanks to Kim, we get to have a "date" once a month... it is so nice!!

The Pitcock Family of "4"
Things continue to go well at the Pitcock household except for one major tantrum and the fact that Stephen and I are not used to someone (some little one) telling us "NO". Thank goodness I have had experience with lots of tantrums in my job, and Stephen is doing a great job of "sticking to his guns". Overall, we are having a great week. Yesterday we went to Russellville and had a picnic in the park and played for about an hour.

A Great Week!!
Well, things are going really good around her. We have been blessed with a wonderful little girl staying with us this week. Chloe LOVES to play with her and she is great with Chloe. We have had very little behavioral issues and she has fit in great with our family. It is going to be very hard to see her go back "home" next week. I have had to work for the last two days, so I haven't got to spend as much time with the girls as I have wanted to. Tomorrow we are going to the park as it is supposed to be very nice, about 74 degrees. Thanks for all your prayers and concern about fulfilling a passion of mine.

A Dream Come True
As many of you know, since I was in high school, I have wanted to be a foster parent. Because I was single for so long, I wasn't sure if this dream was ever going to become a reality. (You can do foster care when you are single, but this was not my preference.) I have married a very gracious man who has agreed to help me live out this dream. Stephen and I were approved to do foster care last week and will have a little girl staying in our home for the next week. We are doing what is called respite for her foster family who will be going out of town. We will pick her up tonight and she will be staying with us until next weekend. I will not be allowed to post any pictures or give any information about this child on my blog, but Stephen and I would appreciate your prayers as we are about to start this exciting, but somewhat scary, journey.

Back to Normal
Things are finally getting back to "normal" around here. Stephen is feeling much better and will return to work on Monday. He got good reports from the doctors last week, although they felt it was best for him not to make his trip to Germany on Saturday... thank goodness!!
Chloe went to the doctor for her 15 month check-up on Friday as well. She had some blood work done to test her liver functions. As you all know, the ones of you who have been around her lately, Chloe has a very orange tint. Even this morning at church, this man who is a friend of ours said, "I don't know really how to say this, but I am concerned about the color of Chloe's skin.... it almost looks orange. Do you think she may be jaundice?" You don't know how many people have commented on the tint of her skin over the past few months.
According to the blood test, Chloe is not jaundice, however, one of her liver enzymes came back slightly elevated. Her doctor does not seem concerned at this point and will test her again at 18 months. So.. if you notice her having an unusual tint in the pictures, this may be why.

Eye Report
Stephen is having some complications from his surgery, so please continue to pray for him. He went to the doctor(not his surgeon) yesterday and he seem to think that the bleb has collapsed, possibly because the pressure was too low. This may correct itself, or they may have to go back into the eye. He has been communicating with his surgeon via phone and will see him tomorrow at 8:00.
