Swine Flu???
Last night, Chloe became very clingy to us. Stephen laid her down for a nap and made a comment that she felt warm. When she woke up about 9:00, her fever was over 102 degrees. We gave her Tylenol and a cool bath and her temperature went down. This morning her temperature was back up to 102, so I took her to the doctor (we had to cancel her liver ultrasound that we had scheduled for this morning).
The clinic was like a war zone... Everybody was wearing masks and in the lab they had on goggles, gloves, and plastic coats and booties. Chloe had to wear a mask since she was being tested for the flu. She loved the mask and would not take it off, even when we got home!!
Anyway, we got the results back and she tested NEGATIVE for the flu, but there is still a chance she may have strep throat. We will get the results back tomorrow morning. She will not get to go to Big Red School tomorrow... I don't think I will mention it.
Please pray that we will not all get sick... I don't think I can stand any more sickness!!

2nd Place in The Amazing Race
On Saturday, Stephen and I participated in The Amazing Race thanks to Aunt Heather. It was lots of fun, but extremely physical (something I was not prepared for). We had thirteen different challenges such as changing a tire, paddling a paddle boat across the lake, relay races, disc golf and running for what seemed like miles. During the relay races, it started pouring down rain so by the end of the race, we looked like drowned rats. Nevertheless, we came in 2nd place with our partners Andy and Alan and our wonderful driver, Larry.

Big Red School
Today was Chloe's first day at Big Red School. She will be going one time a week for 2 1/2 hours. When she woke up this morning, I said, "Are you ready for school?" and she said "YEAH!!" She was so excited and is just as excited to have a new backpack, "Like Dora". Chloe separated fine and did great for her first day.... Having Kylah there helped a little!! Her teacher said that they held hands most of the day.

The Results Are In
NO MOLAR PREGNANCY!!! Although this does not take all of the pain of having a miscarriage away, it does take away much of the stress of what a molar pregnancy can become, even after surgery. I am doing well and counting my blessings each day. Thanks for your continued support and prayers during this time.

Updates
My surgery on Thursday night went well. I have had very little soreness and am actually feeling better than before the surgery. I just feel groggy and tired from the anesthesia and the pain medicine. The lab results will hopefully be back on Tuesday or Wednesday, so just keep praying.... no molar pregnancy.
I also spoke with someone from Vanderbilt about Chloe's lab work yesterday. All of the tests are not back yet, but the one that has to do with Celiac Disease came back negative, which was a huge relief.
Things are finally started to "look up" around here. Thanks for all of the phone calls, food, flowers, and especially the prayers. You have made my load so much lighter!!

More "Not So Good" News
This last month has been a very trying one. Stephen and I found out that we were expecting about a month ago. We were very excited that Chloe was going to be a big sister. From the very beginning I have not had a good feeling about this pregnancy. It all started when I began to bleed. I went immediately to the doctor and he ran blood work. We had to wait for two days and then repeat the same test. The test came back normal... My pregnancy hormones had doubled and that was a good sign. Since that time, we have had three ultrasounds, none of which have found a fetal pole or heartbeat. We were first told that this was a blighted ovum, which meant that the gestational sac was forming with no baby and that I would soon miscarry. Stephen and I decided that letting nature take its course would be best for us and that I would miscarry on my own. The worse thing is that I still have all of my pregnancy symptoms. In fact, on Monday, it got so bad that I went back to the doctor and told him I felt like something was wrong. They did some more blood work and the doctor called me at 9:30 at night to tell me the results. He was very confused because my Hcg levels were at 90,00, which is normal for an 8-10 week pregnancy (very high). Two of the doctors have consulted and feel that this is a molar pregnancy and that I need to have a D and C as this can be very dangerous to my health.
I went back to the doctor today and we have decided that it would be best to have the surgery. The surgery is scheduled for Thursday at 6:00 pm Please keep all of us in your prayers!!

Our Trip to Vanderbilt
Last Wednesday, we visited with a liver specialist at Vanderbilt. We were very impressed with her. She states that Chloe's condition could be caused by three different reasons: she may just always have high AST levels, it could be Celiac Disease (an allergy to wheat), or something more serious that has to do with her muscles. These conditions can be determined by her blood as well as an ultrasound of her liver. We have not yet heard back from the blood work. Thank you all so much for you phone calls and cards. Keep praying!
